My Escapes Turkey Istanbul Stop-over Day in Istanbul...
Stop-over Day in Istanbul...
Short return to Istanbul from Singapore.
A little more time to spend in the gigantic city on the Bosporus.
How not to waste it?
Actually, I only had roughly half a day to spend in Istanbul...
I dropped in to my hotel at around 16:00 o'clock and I immediately headed out to explore.
Being based in the Golden Horn area again, facilitated my visit to the main historic attractions. Some of which I couldn't visit during my previous trip.
One of the remaining pins on my map was the Grand Bazaar.
The time was just enough to visit it, munch a bit, take a long long walk in the Sultanahmet and Gülhane areas.
Long 11-hour night flight from Singapore to Istanbul. Almost no good views at all, just one large meal and we got shaken like milkshake in turbulence above the Bay of Bengal again.
A few words and pics about my flight to Istanbul.
The Grand Bazaar was one of the remaining major attractions that I was yearning to visit.
Interesting it was, but it wasn't easy to find, nor finding my way after exiting...
Not as big as I imagined, but not less interesting.
Scattered Attractions & Moments on the Streets
The time allowed me to take a long walk in the Golden Horn area - Sultanahmet, Gülhane, Sirkeci...
Not much time was left, but I was trying to squeeze the most out of this experience. Just as I started liking Istanbul (again), my departure time was approaching.
