My Escapes Malaysia My First Malaysian Escape
My First Malaysian Escape
"Malaysia Truly Asia", the official tourism slogan illustrates pretty well what's special about Malaysia - it's a little piece of Asia!
Exotically multicultural, a land of contrast and colours...
It's so amazing, everything overflows!
What I saw, tasted or otherwise experienced is packed into this walkaround guide...
I had a mere 5 nights, but only 4 full days, so I pinned Kuala Lumpur, the new planned capital of Putrajaya and the Batu Caves Hindu shrine.
Unfortunately, I had to leave Malacca out, but it was on my list in the beginning...
I was also considering these destinations: Genting Highlands, the Cameron Highlands the islands of Langkawi and Penang, Johor Bahru and Kuala Terengganu. They just didn't fit in, but next time I'll do my best to visit some of them.
I adored my stay in Malaysia. This was one of my best trips ever, squeezed between two escapes to Singapore.
Here you can read about my experiences in Malaysia...
Keep in mind that the main sections contain multiple articles within them.
Striking contrast and exciting historic quarters. I explored thoroughly and contemplated the different faces and nuances that "KL" has.
There's no better place in the entire Malaysia for getting a taste of the different cultures and religions that live side-by-side peacefully.
Visiting the Batu Caves Hindu Shrine
The biggest Hindu shrine outside of India, one with a staggering tall golden statue of Lord Murugan.
Amid "rioting" macaques, my friend and I climbed 272 steps to enter the main cave...
Short Visit to Putrajaya, the Planned Capital
Putrajaya is the planned new modern capital of Malaysia.
It will eventually become the capital, but for a while it's mostly a barren place with few souls wandering around.
It seemed like this artificailly-created city had pre-designed views, landscapes with strategically-placed viewpoints.
Again, my trip gave me the opportunity to catch a glimpse of a few interesting vehicles.
A collection of photos depicting various vehicles that I spotted. Most of them ordinary, some of them quite unusual.
As "Escape Hunter" - the curious incognito traveler with an insatiable drive to explore, I embark on slow and deep travels around
our beautiful World.
Join me and I will show you exciting destinations
"from within", through my
"escape" trips!
